SEO and General Business tutorials and tips.

Earlier this year, Hurrdat began developing a local search optimization solution intended to help small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) gain better online visibility and attract more customers in local search engine results. Our agency has optimized thousands of local listings for clients of all sizes through our custom SEO services, and we saw an opportunity to take our local SEO expertise and create a more modest packaged solution for small businesses that need help managing their listings.
Our initial plan was to release this solution at the end of 2020. However, after seeing how SMBs have been impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown—and how many of our clients needed assistance with updating local business listings for COVID-19 operations—we decided to launch this solution early.
We’re happy to announce that Local Search Fuel by Hurrdat is officially up and running.
“Local Search Fuel was born from the custom local SEO work we are doing for over 3,000 business locations across the U.S. and has been in development for some time now,” said Bill Hipsher, President of Hurrdat. “We planned to launch the solution later in 2020. However, as COVID-19’s impact grew, we noticed our existing clients were struggling to keep business hours, services, and other important details accurate in their online local listings. We knew that a solution like what we were developing with Local Search Fuel could solve their problems.”
How does Local Search Fuel work? Businesses sign up through a simple online intake form. All that we need to get started is basic business contact information, such as business name, address, phone number, hours of operation, and any other details that would help us fill out listings in online business directories. From there, our local SEO experts use the sourced from information to create, update, optimize, and manage online local business listings in Google My Business, Yext, and other local directories.
“The sign-up process is very simple for small business owners and takes less than 15 minutes,” said Meghan Trapp, Agency Director at Hurrdat. “If businesses need additional assistance, we have a customer service team standing by to help.”
In addition to launching this local search solution early to help businesses impacted by COVID-19, we’re offering it for free to small businesses in Nebraska and Utah, where we currently have local offices. The first 200 businesses that sign up will receive Local Search Fuel for 90 days with no charge and no obligation to continue services after those 90 days are up.
